appears to be in green livery and there is a G.W.R. locomotive in the background. (Swindon perhaps?)

Doncaster in May 1945, and was withdrawn from Bolton MPD in October 1967.

48609 at Colwick during 1966. This locomotive was built at Eastleigh in October
1943, and was withdrawn from Patricroft MPD in January 1968.

48683 rests at Hasland MPD during 1966. This locomotive was built at Brighton in
January 1944, and was withdrawn from Heaton Mersey in February 1968. The star on the cab side denotes additional driving
wheel balancing for smoother riding.
