'V' 4-4-0 No. 30926 'Repton' awaits restoration at Eastleigh in April 1965. Built
in May 1934. It was one of the last of the class to be overhauled by B.R. in 1960, so was
considered a good choice for preservation. Withdrawn December 1963. In 1966 it was overhauled
at Eastleigh, before moving to Steamtown in Vermont, USA. Then to the Cape Breton Steam Railway in Canada, where it operated
a regular passenger service.

M.R. Class '115' 4-2-2 No.118 built in 1899 stands outside it's former home at
Derby c.1964, probably in conjunction with the movement of rail exhibits for the then new museum at Clapham (Now in the NRM

Caledonian Railway No.123 built by Neilson and Company at Glasgow in 1886 famous for its participation in the 'Races to the North' in 1888. Withdrawn by the L.M.S. in 1935 as No.14010 for preservation.
The image is believed to have been taken at St Rollox Works in the late 1950's.

B12 4-6-0 No. 61572 before restoration at March MPD on Friday 9th of April 1965
K4 2-6-0 No. 3442 (B.R. No.61994) Leeds Neville Hill c.1965 Built in July 1938,
this locomotive was finally withdrawn from British Railways stock in December 1961 when it was purchased by Viscount Garnock
for use on a number of rail tours until the 1968 ban on steam locomotives on the National Network brought this activity to a
temporary end.
K4 2-6-0 No. 3442 (B.R. No.61994) Darlington 03/10/1964
N7 0-6-2T No. 69621 at Leeds Neville Hill 1966 Built at Stratford in 1924,
originally numbered (7)999 as the last locomotive ordered by the G.E.R. On withdrawal in September 1962 from Wood
Street(Walthamstow) MPD it was purchased by Dr. Fred Youell and taken north to Leeds. Stored at Leeds Neville Hill until 1973
when it was moved to the Stour Valley Railway at Chappel & Wakes Colne where restoration was completed in 1989
